Tesco Reply…

Dear Pauline,

Thank you for your e-mail.

The reason I am so angry and eventually wrote such a ‘tirade’ is because I have been passed from pillar to post by Tesco on this matter for close to a year now. The cards are still in the name of myself and my ex-wife despite me requesting otherwise on no less than 4 occasions (and then waiting for each new statement to arrive duly mislabelled again). I’ve now wasted close to 75 pounds worth of ‘loyalty’ vouchers while I try to get this sorted and I just don’t see why I should continue. Your response hasn’t really helped win back my confidence thus far either by effectively telling me to stop whingeing and let’s just get things done… If Tesco had ‘just got things done’ I certainly wouldn’t be whingeing…

There is but one card that should be assigned with my Visa card. It has the number [snipped cos this is the internet] (the one issued 02/12/04). I’ve still actually yet to receive this card, carrying around instead the dogeared and battered poor little paper card (and I’ve asked about this three times too, but that’s a different issue). The card should be in MY NAME ONLY not that of my ex-wife as well. I have been assured FOUR times that this will be done. Yours will be the fifth, and final request. You do still have the opportunity to restore my faith in Tesco as I’ve been a customer for more than 15 years and would prefer to stay with you, but I can only take so much before my patience is exhausted.

I notice that from looking through your list that the clubcard that starts 00 is actually my credit card number. This card should be associated with [snipped cos this is the internet] and all other associations should be removed. I’d appreciate if you could tell me whether the lost loyalty points will be re-imbursed too?

I look forward to your speedy response

Yours Sincerely,
Steve
